so my son and I went on a bug hunt at 8:00 pm tonight. We saw at least 12 flying, mostly orange (2 possible green). All had a steady one beat pattern. One orange was perched by our barn, but as we approached to observe... our dog turned on the motion sensor light. Males fly and signal, females perch and respond.
